Pattillo Style!

Saturday, March 31st, 2007

PattilloI am THRILLED to announce that our special guest for ANYTHING BUT STAND-UP on April 10th will be Greg Pattillo, the Beatboxing Flute! You may recognize him from YouTube, where his videos have been viewed almost SIX MILLION times. (Yes, I said million.)

He’s also a street performer here in grand olde NYC, so you may have seen him droppin’ his tunes in the park or on the subway platform. But don’t miss him at Chicks, freestyling with the (white) rapper show’s Miss CKC!

Sweet Spring Smiles

Monday, March 26th, 2007

Co-producer Nichelle Stephens and comic Rachael Parenta after last week’s show.

We had another packed house last weekend in our new home DOWNSTAIRS at Mo’s. I have to say, I still have a soft spot in my heart for our days in the intimate little lounge. We had so many amazing shows there, so many serious good times. But, that being said, it’s great that we can fit so many more people comfortably instead of being forced to hold the comedy sit-ins we did upstairs. We hope you’ll join us in the new space for another phenomenal show tomorrow night!

Columbia New Media Students Discover Chicks & Giggles

Columbia

Last week at the Blue Velvet show (see post below), two Columbia University students stopped by the show for a piece they did for the New Media program. Armed with a microphone and a digital recorder, they caught a few audio snippets of the show, and they interviewed Carolyn and me. Other than getting my last name spelled wrong “Stephens” and ending the article with a quote from a male comic, I would say they gave it the old college try. I am happy that Chicks and Giggles is getting attention, so I invite more people to contact us. Carolyn and I are make great interview subjects; we are funny, cute and have something to say.
