Chicks and Giggles

Friends: Nichelle and Carolyn are celebrating their birth, on the day that marks their birth, being today, November 27, with a hell of a show tonight!  Be sure to come on down!

Also, if you like girl comics who like sex, you should definitely read this anonymous diary from New York Mag’s Daily Intelligencer.  This comedian may or may not have performed on our show in the past.  Ahem.

I took a picture of the Chicks and Giggles menu at Ochi’s and fully intended to take photos of the performers, but since I wasn’t sure how to take pictures without the annoying flash, I decided to sit back and enjoy the show.

It was great show guest-hosted by Jess Wood. Starting off with Shannon Hatch from LA, we rolled into the delightful ukulele-playing Jen Kwok. She then rocked out on her glockenspiel with her friend Eric.

Next up was another duo, Pembroke and Lu. Then our surprise guest, JIM GAFFIGAN did a set about hammocks and ketchup. My new favorite word is “indoorsy.”

Then Andrea Alton was in character as a budget wedding planner, and Samantha Jones ran with wild horses. The final act was the musical stylings of Robin Gelfeinbein.
